We played Russian railroads at Chez Gysemans. A cute little euro about buiding the trans-Siberian rail line. The theme is a bit dry, but the gameplay is fun, diverse and pretty fast. There’s many different ways to rack up points, and seeing the railways expand bring a nice visual and kinetic joy to the table. I
t’s a cute little game and I’d like to play it again. There’s a lot of different strategies to try out. There’s no really a feeling of working yourself into a corner or having to feed your family. You can always make progress, but you just have to figure out how to make it as efficiently as possible.
Plus, you can hire engineers and have fun naming them! Big thanks to Yuri, Smostochnishev, Boris and Natasha for making our railway great!
